Inspecting a Roller Lifter.
Does anyone know how to re-install the piston back into the lifter housing? I tried to push down on the piston but there is so much resistance that I cant put in the wire holder. Any help or advice will be appreciated.

I believe all the oil is out already, unless there is more deeper inside the lifter. The pictures show the max that the piston will drop inside the lifter. Theres gotta be a way to get that sucker in there.

About all you can do is disassemble them, clean them with lint-free rags and carb cleaner, or brake cleaner, then lightly lube them, and reassemble them using the paper clip.
I've done it once, it took me most of a Saturday, but seemed to work out just fine.
