fresh rebuild power?

what should i expect power wise out of my 5.7 after a custom cam that's a bit more potent than a cranes 2032, cat delete, 2.75 cat back, port polished intake, high pressure fuel pump high flow 22lb injectors, custom tuned chip for my mods. i was just looking for a good ballpark number for et 1/4 miles

Re: fresh rebuild power?

gonna bet 5000HP... as long as the flux capacitor holds so you can reach 55mph

Re: fresh rebuild power?

Lol... What he said is funny. But his point is that it impossible to estimate power based on a list of modifications. That's what dyno's are for. A realistic number would probably just be disappointing

Re: fresh rebuild power?

actually what i was getting at was he hasnt provided anywhere close to enough information...

people around here a usually pretty good with HP guesses when they are provided the correct information

so far we know a 350... an non specific "custom" cam referencing a crane 2032... and the word potent...could be running a XE294 for all we know

then some nonsense exhaust buzz talk followed up by a port and polish of some intake not yet named...

add in some fuel system buzz talk along with the "custom"(theres that word again) tuned chip for said mods...

so i was serious somewhere between 1HP-5000HP personally i am leaning towards 5000HP i was just surpised there wasnt a v-tec or pre vortec anywhere in the vague description

Re: fresh rebuild power?

im sorry about saying custom here are the specs when i got the cam made
Duration: 275 int./280 exh.
Intake Valve Lift: 0.462 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift: 0.472in.
the intake is an edlebrock high-flow base plate with their runners ported polished
the heads are stock with minor work to allow the extra lift (they are polished too)
the exhaust is freed up is all im going to say about it
the chip was tuned by Harris high performance so that it runs stoichometric with mods and under full throttle the car runs at 13:1 air fuel ratio for most power with the ethanol in the fuel
