CST sensor ?
Can anyone give me info. on the "coolant temp. sensor" that regulates the fuel. The one that uses a plug in harness connector like that of the fuel rail injectors do on a TPI. The sensor goes on the front of the intake manifold below the the throttle body. In particular I need a GM part number, as the local parts store doesn't have it or at least don't have it listed as such.
Re: CST sensor ?
The CTS tells the ECM about the engine temp- it's a 2 wire sensor with an oval-shaped head. The plastic head is black, if I recall correctly.
Right near it is the temp sensor for the 9th injector (only used during cold start on earlier TPI engines). It's also a 2 wire connector but has a rectangular shaped head on it. And the plastic head is brown, if I remember properly.
Which one are you looking for?

Re: CST sensor ?
It has a brown rectangular 2 wire female fitting, that excepts a male connector that can be mistaken for a fuel injector connector male fitting. My books say it controls/regulates part of the fuel system. The problem is my books don't tell give me a GM part number.

Re: CST sensor ?
Tried calling the dealer?
I was able to get a number of the sensor, as well as its made by Bosh. I then called NAPA up, and they were able to cross reference it. So if anyone is interested its a "Cold Start Valve Temp. Sensor Switch". Its a special order item that will take 3-5 working days and cost me $130.00 So word of advice to anyone is don't break this sensor, unless money is of no concern to you.

With sales tax, and shipping it would probably be the same thing. So how did he get "taken" exactly?
