ignition switch problem

I'm replacing the ignition switch in 87 camaro. I have the switch all unpluged but can get the cable/wire set to come off the side of the switch. How do you take that thing off.

Re: ignition switch problem

There is a screw, on the back side of the switch, that has to come out, then the switch seperates into 2 pieces, and allows the cable to come out. It's a real PITA to do.
