Oil disapearing rapidly LB9 with 95k miles

My '91 Z28 has now used 3 quarts of oil in 500 miles, there is no oil in the coolant, and it doesn't seem to be leaking out underneath of the car, either. The oil is pitch black in 50 miles, and gone right after that!!! The car is in great shape, but due to the injectors being stuck open from debree, it does not run well, it's running very rich with the eigth injector unplugged. Car only has about 95,500 miles, I'm the fourth owner of it, it looks brand new! Any explanation of where all this oil is going? Having a hard time believing a meticulously well taken care of Z28 with low mileage would be burning oil at this rate. It's a small block 305... aren't this things supposed to go 250k miles easily?!

I dont know about going 250k easily. I guess it could but I would think it would be a little tired at that time. If you are losing that much oil in 500 miles, the oil is going somewhere. You said that it doesnt look like its leaking on the ground and its not in the coolant, so there is only one other place it could go, burning it. Is the car smoking out the exhaust at anytime? With the engine running the way you say it is, it could be related to your oil loss. I would bet that its a leak though. You say that the car looks like it been taken care of, previous owners could of just taken care of the outside and interior and not the engine. Seen it many times and vice versa. If you say the injectors are stuck open, replace them and go from there. With 95,000 on them, they are probably going to be bad. Mine didnt last that long in my iroc.
