Ignition CRAP done!!!
so i have had this continued issue with my car
ok well i currently run an MSD Billet dizzy MSD coil. taylor 8.5 wires and autolite platinum plugs gaped at .45 with an accel cap and rotor and crappy OEM advanced ignition module(msd one went out so far been through 2 parts store ones). anyway car runs good in cool weather but in hot conditions and whence the motor gets over about 185 temp its runs like S*** poor idle. i know it has to do with my Frankenstein ignition system. and something also interferes with mt tach(msd coil) assumed.
so i am going to be replacing the whole system soon so far my current plans is to use a daves unified dizzy and coil. and an ignition box.
hopefully this will solve my problem
MY QUESTION:
anybody else have this problem if so what solved it?
any suggestions on ignition boxes i was leaning towards mallory

Are you greasing the plates on the ICM's with dielectric grease?
The "box" won't help anything - all it does is make a single spark into a multiple spark.

Re: Ignition CRAP done!!!
When you install the module, its REAL important to use good heat-sinking grease. The coolest the module will ever run is about 180-200 deg F, which is already too hot for semi-conductors to function properly for the long term. If theres just that dilectric grease, itll overheat.
If possible, you may want to go to an aftermarket unit with an external coil driver. The stock HEI system has issues with overheating under high RPM use.

@camaronewbie yes i did pud dilectric grease on all the ignition module. and i want to add the box for future modding.
@dimented24x7 you do hav an excelant point as i do just put dilectric grease, i do actually have thermal compound for computer CPUs which i know are excellent for transferring heat. and as far as an aftermarket unit with an external coil driver im not sure where to even begin to find how to get something other then a small cap HEI to fit with the TPI intake and work with the ECU so any info you have would be very help full.

@Apeiron i believe its the ignition sys because i know its gets the proper amount of fuel pressure plugs show slightly rich ECT... however you have caused my brain to spark and i will recheck all my fuel injectors just in case.
