hello guys. whats up. ok well here i go trying to see if any one can help me out there. i have taken my car to about 5 shops and they all cant tell me any thing.
ok first off i got this car about 2 years ago. its a 89trans am tpi not sure if its a 305 or a 350. runs great has power and will chirp second no prob. got the car for free cause it was sitting in a friends yard for a cplk years. well any way threw a battery in it and it fired up. but with shitty gas in the tank took a little while and it pinged at the end of gears, also rpms would drop when you steped on the gas(bad MAS). but any way have all that figured out. so the problem i am having now is it will not pass emmissions,it eats n when i say eat i mean EATS GAS, about a quarter tank in 15 miles lol.it also idles high about 1300 rpm in park and neutral, but then drops when put in gear. also puffs a little white smoke on start up, also every once in a while will bog down when driving.

well any way from that time i replaced my MAS,EGR,TPS,AIC, plugs,wires, cap,rotor,upper plenum gaskets,temp and air sensors. the only thing i did not replace was the 02 sencers and thats cause they look new, exaust looks new, but when i was setting tps to .45 at closed and 5.0 at WOT the motor would kick down to about 8 or 900 rpm when the tester was on the top and middle wire. then go back up when taken off. drive it a little and then check it again and it would b off again. im starting to think its my ECM. heard of alot of guys say that when theres went it was eating gas like no tomorrow. . also a cpl mechanics told me there scan tool wouldnt connect to my ecm or read it at all. i now my cig lighter isnt working and i hear some cars use the voltage from that to get a reading through it.if any one can help me figure this thing out it would b awsome. i have been trying to drive this thing for so long and it just is being a pain in my *** lol i will buy who every figures it out a beer
