89 GTA 350 won't start
I have an 89 GTA 350 tpi. 22,500 one owner miles. Usually in storage. Got it out the other day, hooked up the charged battery and fired it up. Moved it to the drive way and shut it off. The next day got out the car wash pump and washed it outside and under the hood. Let it dry and was going to drive it and it wouldn't do anything. Turn the key on and everything appears to be fine, turn the key and nothing. The water temp goes all the way over while the switch is engaged. Tried the other key in case of vats. Same thing. Pushed it in the shop and found the starter relay. Removed the cover and made the contacts touch and now the motor will turn over when the key is engaged but it still won't start. I unplugged the vats wire connection on the bottom of the steering column and connected the ohm meter and get 9.50 ohms, ( same as I get when I check just the key) removed the key and no reading, so I assume the key/switch and wiring in that area are working fine? Where do I look next? Anybody with any ideas? Thanks in advance

One more thought, a car that's been in storage for a long time may have a clogged fuel filter.....check that as well. Good luck!
