need mechanic in la area
Re: need mechanic in la area
if you are willing to pay prevailing rates then why not flat bed it to a shop?
If you are looking for a "good mechanic" but want to pay "bad rates" then try craigslist and roll the dice
good luck

Exactly:
"Mechanics" don't make house calls. They send tow trucks. Cheeeeeeeper and eeeeeeeezyer by far, than trying to schlep around a lift, tools, machine shop equipment, diagnostic gear, staff, etc.
Perhaps if you tell us what's wrong with your car, we can tell you how to fix it yourself.

Well my problem is that I was driving my car, I was going around 40 and my car just turned off I didn't hear no noise or rpms dropping it just turn off. I was tryn to turn it back on but it didn't. Could it be beacause last week I replaced the brake booster? I checked the fuses and the hose from intake to booster that's all good. I don't know what else I can check I don't really know mechanic. Thanks

Check the wiring that plugs into the coil and the distributor; it's close to the booster stuff. THe plugs have a big pink and a small white wire. Check all the ones that look like that and make sure they're in tight.
If it's not that, it's probably the ignition module, which is inside the distributor. You can take that to AutoZone and other places and have them check it.
