The 90 that I recently picked up has no cats on it. I live in Fl so emmisions are not an issue. It still has the smog pump & all the plastic hoses, accesories, etc...

At this point is there any reason to keep all this on? If I do eliminate the smog pump & support items, will it throw a code or cause a tunning problem?

Chunk it, and look for the belt re-routing thread on here. I think its www.thirdgen.org\serpentine You dont even need a delete pulley. Plug the holes in the manifolds with pipe plugs.
