87 5.74 tpi wont turn over??? got fuel & spark??please help me
i got a 87 5.7 ltr tpi and im having problems trying tom get it to turn over , i just recently replaced the plugs wires cap and coil and the ignition control module . also the alternator, the cars been sitting for 4 months because i thought the fuel pump went , i changed the fuel filter tested at the shrader valve and it read 30psi with the ignition on , so i know its getting gas , i checked for spark noticed i didnt have it thought that was it , changed the ign control mod and then i had spark but it still just cranks and cranks , im pretty stumped if anyone has any ideas id really appreciate it.the cars always been weird with timing and has a hyper tech chip , comp cams , bored 30 , hooker headers new 700 r4 trans.the guy i bought it from says the check engine light comes on because of the chip when the light is on the car runs awsome but its only on when its cool out when it gets warm it wont come on and it runs like crap idles weird dont sound as strong ect man this car has issues
oh and the other kicker is ill spray strater fluid into the tb and it still does nothing

Make sure the plugs are not soaked.
30 PSI is a bit low for a TPI. It needs to make 43 PSI ±3 PSI with the engine off, 37 with vacuum to the FPR.
Since it has HyperCrap PROM, try disconnecting the EST to start the engine on base timing alone.

thanks for replying ,well i had a mechanic come to my house w/ a scanner and it was strange the day before when i replaced the icm i had spark the next day none??he pulled a plug from the block and yes it was soaked , does that just mean im flooded? well then he goes on and scans the car and the scanners not pulling codes w/ the key in acc but when cranking its saying no rpm signal i dont know what that means but hes saying its the ecu and took my ecu and said hes going to get me another one for 50 bucks??? what are the odds of that working or am im just buying more things i dont need ,feel like i replaced everything i should have and am not getting anywhere!!!
