Too much pressure after 255 pump swap.

After swapping my stock pump for a Walbro 255, I have been having a problem with the my fuel pressure regulator not adjusting pressure. I have a Aeromotive A1000 regulator that is a few weeks old. The stock regulator has been disabled. The new regulator is mounted before the fuel rails with the return coming off the regulator. I also have a ATI booster pump, but had to pull the fuse because the pressure is so high. When I swapped the pump I did the access panel deal. So I had to cut the lines, then spice them. I checked all the lines and everything looks good. It seems like a return issue. Any ideas? How much unregulated pressure should a 255 put out?
