Rod Through the block
Rod Through the block
Ok guys a great one here..I just put about 3k into paint and 130 hours of labor..Car looks sweet..I have been cruising her for about a month..Car sounds awesome no knocks or anything..Im out in her today i get the old death rattle for bout 2 secs and bam huge hole in my block oil pan and severed my oil cooler lines.. My goal is to keep my tpi setup.. What im looking to do is swap my heads and tpi setup to a new block..Its an 89 l98..i have the 083 heads.. I was wondering if anyone knew what year blocks i can go with to do the swap..All this providing my local junk yard does not have one..Of course heads will be sent out and gone through..I will be needing to either rebuild a block or buy a shortblock from summit or the like..Any advice will be helpfull...
Thanks guys and keep on motoring...

A block from any year will work. A 1 piece RMS block finsihed for the factory roller cam would be preferred.
