not sure which hose this is
not sure which hose this is
I am not sure if this is the right place to post this.
I've been trying to find out why my car was overheating then I saw it was leaking from the back of the motor from what it looked like.
Till I pulled the air filter off.
the leak is actually coming from a hose but I'm not sure which how to ask for at the parts store.
I borrowed a picture from this website to show which one it is.
My car is a 92 rs with a 305tbi by the way.
I believe this is the correct hose there is one that comes from the heater core to some other part that looks like some kinda valve then there is another hose that goes from that valve to the top of the intake manifold it connects kinda next to the distributor.
I need the hose that connects to the intake manifold I have it circled on the page here.
Sorry to make it so long just want to make sure I'm clear

Re: not sure which hose this is
Just get a chunk of heater hose the same inside diameter, and longer, then you can cut to fit. It will flex and bend on it's own (to a degree) - you just don't want to make such a small bend that it collapses.
IF a parts store sells a piece with that shape preformed, they'll want $30 for it as opposed to a few feet of $2 by-the-foot heater hose.

If that doesn't work for you, lots of parts stores can supply the correct heater hose in that shape, but it is a bit more. You can always call and ask?
