head choice

I picked up a 86 camaro iroc - intake, engine harness, ecu, injectors, and sensors for 150 bucks.

283 block 283 forged crank, 283 forged rods pistons have not been chosen because I have not chosen the heads yet.
I need to run a 194 x 150 valve
the heads need to work with that intake
running the lunati 401A3LUN cam
http://www.lunatipower.com/Product.aspx?id=1966&gid=284
I need to be at no more than a 9:1 compression ratio

I know the 305 tpi heads are something like 58cc and the 350 tpi heads are 64cc (but from my understanding the 87-89 aforementioned 350 tpi heads wont work with that intake?). I have no idea what that will give my 283 for compression.

help would be great!

I need to know what my best choice for heads are so i can pick up pistons.

Re: head choice

Badly mis-matched combo. Why 1.94"? Why 9:1? Why that cam with TPI? That's the grossest mis-match.
And that cam needs at least 10:1, even with iron heads. It'd still be a pump gas engine.
Get a 327 crank, bore it 60 over, and have a 316. Use F/T pistons with milled Vortec heads. Then forget the TPI. Use an RPM AirGap or a Weiand AirStrike.
If you must keep the TPI, then pick a cam like the 213/219-112 VooDoo. That'll be okay with 9.5:1.
You could slot the holes in the intake to use '081 heads, the next best choice after Vortecs.
Back in the old days, guys used to bore 283s all the way to 4", but then you need filler in the water jackets. Then you could have a 327.
If you use a 327 crank, just use 307 pistons. A 60-over 307 makes that 316. And a 3.935" bore will fit 2.02/1.60" valves.

i'm using a centri blower at 7 psi thats why the low cr - thats why the 112 cam, im looking to spin rpm thats why the 283 with forged internals, im keeping it a 283 thats why 194 valves.

the only thing i have left on this project is to pick heads, have them done up and pick pistons on from all that. what heads do i need for what im doing?
