1989 Firebird 2.8 Code 34

Im getting a code 34- MAF sensor signal showed air flow to be less than 2 gm/sec or the MAF circuit was shorted.

Should it run different when i unplug the maf sensor or the map sensor? Ive done both and havent noticed any change in how it runs.

It says or the maf circuit is shorted, wheres that located.

As of right now my bird is running like **** and the idle jumps. Sometimes when driving it will die on me when i stop or it will idle at 2000+ rpms.

any suggestions would help. thanks
