Hooker headers/clutch linkage
hey guys, ive read a little on this subject but my engines timing was off a bit causing my idle to be pretty high aswell as a vacuum leak on my carb, needless to say my engine was running pretty hot one day and it caused my clutch linkage to heat up and burst a small pinhole... i replace the linkage and the clutch seems to be fine, i was just wondering what precaution i could take so it doesnt happen again? its about 2 inches away id say but hell those headers get hot!

Re: Hooker headers/clutch linkage
Ceramic coat the headers.
Restrain the clutch line away from them. Be careful about drilling holes in the firewall there, pay close attention to what's on the interior side.

The only thing is it being a hydraulic linkage I can't really tie it back too much can I? I think it would leak

Re: Hooker headers/clutch linkage
It's not a "linkage"; it's a hose. As long as you don't put the ends of it in a bind somehow you can tie it any way you want.
