What cable is this?? Picture attached

Pretty much done with my 305 tbi to 383 carb swap and I have a cable left over and can't figure out what it is. All I know is that on the 305 the slotted end was mounted on the throttle bracket linkage. Please help!

That makes sense, so it goes from the throttle bracket to what? I'll leave it off for now and see if I still have the stuff to put it back on....

NC-88 quick question, did you have to get a new starter for your 383?

Sideways UFO thing, HAHA I know exactly what you are talking about. Thanks guys for the quick replies, I appreciate it. Definitely tore that UFO thing out, but still have it...

leedavidallen - I got a new 3 hp mini starter off ebay, $66. You can prolly get by with the stock 305 starter, but with the higher compression of a 383 why mess with it? 20 year old starter vs new shiny starter = new shiny starter FTW!!
