high hc's wont pass tx inspection
hi all, just went to the local inspection station today. the car passed high speed test great with the standard-144.. mine was 111. and failed the low speed horribly with hc's through the roof. standard-148.. mine was 569! all other readings are normal.
replaced coil/plugs/wires/ignition module about 2000 miles ago. any ideas what is sending my hc's so high? it recently developed a shudder down between 1-2k rpms and ive only noticed it under load, after that it pulls great to redline. NO CEL would like to get it fixed so i can get it back on the road.
thanks!

Is your emissions the kind done on loaded rollers, like a simulated road?
If so, (1) your non-GM combination of 2.95:1 T5 and 2.73:1 axle might be causing some serious enrichment. (2) If so, but the test isn't done in first gear, ask that the test be repeated in the next lower gear. If they refuse, you may need a decent axle ratio. GM never used less than a 3.08:1 rear.

Re: high hc's wont pass tx inspection
well it passed at the same place last year so I dont think it's an issue with it being on the dyno. I went ahead and swapped out my injectors with a set i had purchased awhile back and the exhaust doesn't smell like raw gas any more. will update later with results from the sniffer.

looks like it was an injector issue. it passed inspection with flying colors.
