MAF SENSOR

I have a 1987 5.0L 305 tpi IROC-Z28.. the check engine light just came on and after I ran the diagnostic, the codes 12, 15, 33, 34, 36 all came up. codes 33, 34, all point to a problem with my MAF sensor, code 36 is a MAF burn-out circuit, which I have no idea about, and code 15 is a coolant temp sensor circuit, which I also have no idea about.. any help with this would be great..

Re: MAF SENSOR

might be a relay issue. you have a maf and maf burn off relay on the drivers side firewall. maf burn off circuit runs 12v of power through the maf element to "burn off" any contaminants. first thing i would try is to get a can of maf cleaner, remove the maf, and blow the maf cleaner right through the inside of the sensor. while you have the maf off check the wiring and connectors. if that doesn't help, check the wiring and connectors of the maf & burn off relays. the coolant temp sensor is below the maf on the bottom of the tpi intake plenum, also check those wires and connector (2 wire connector).
