Simple questions about my forged 390 F1, intercooled, carbed setup
So a couple simple questions:
1. I am feeding my mini heater from the rear ports found on the back of my RPM-Air gap intake. You guys think this will work? I am using the two ports on the back as the feed in and return for the coolant. I think this is not ideal, but it is also not very important. The car will be a srping/summer/fall toy driven a couple times a week so I don't really need the heater, it is just in there really to feed the defroster.
2. Filling my T-56 I had no idea how much fluid was in it, but to play it safe I filled it thru the shifter hole, when under the car to unplug the fill port and TONS of fluid started to pour out. I am not sure how level my car is, as it is on jack stands, but it looks pretty level. I took some measurments that I thought should give me an idea about how level the car is. Anyways, how do you guys fill your trannyies?
3. Spohn sway bar endlinks, who here uses them? The rear ones seem to make the rear bar sit super low.
4. Turning the engine over to find TDC, how do you guys do this? Front crank bolt? I will be using a TDC tool that goes into the spark plug hole so I can't use the starter.
I guess that all for now. Some of this is def not engine related, but I figured some is so this is the best place for this thread. Thanks for any insight.

There is no pressure differential across the ports as there is with stock setup where one port ( return line ) is to the suction side of water pump

I don't really know. I am hoping that since the ports are on different sides of the engine, that there may be a pressure differential, however slight it may be. Also the hot coolant from one part of the engine will eventually heat up the coolant in the heater core, even if it is not flowing simply due to conduction. Again the heater is not going to really be used, it is just there for the defroster really. Not planning on driving an 800 HP car in the snow!
Thanks for the food for thought.
