Car: 89 IROC-Z 5.7
Engine: 5.7 TPI
Transmission: A/T
No start when hot

Car will start when cold but if i take it for a drive and let it warm up and shut it off it most of the time wont start up till it cools back down

when you hit the key do the dash lights dim a tad? its highly likely your starter has gone south. my starter would do exactly the same thing. i replaced the starter and no issues.

Try an ignition control module. located under distributor cap under the rotor - about $45

If it would stall when hot, then I would guess ignition module.
But I think the issue is restarting after turning the ignition off on purpose, in which case it's likely the starter.

Sounds like a heat soaked starter. A module when getting to hot would cause hesitation , breaking up , etc..
