What transmission fluid should I use??
Hey fellas just wondering what kind of transmission fluid I should use. I have an 89 Iroc, manual tranny, 5.0 V8 305.
I'm assuming if I walk into autozone there will be more than one kind, thats why I ask.
Thanks guys!!

Re: What transmission fluid should I use??
Standard automatic transmission fluid is whats called for with the T-5 for every day driving. For the ATF, stick with the standard dex/merc III. Ive found that, with my TKO at least, the synthetics cause issues with the syncros due to the higher film strength. Causes the trans to take an excessive ammount of time to syncronize.
