Fuel Delivery Quandry
Why would a fuel pump deliver pressure for infinity at idle then when you drive it, car slowly quits?
Been battling this for too long now. Thought I had it fixed
I installed a ACDelco 19179597 pump in 11-09.
ever since then I have had issues. Starts up fine, runs great, then drive it for a few miles then it dies a slow death.
Let it cool off, start it up, its a brand new car.
I dont drive my car anywhere, it has dick for miles.
new items since pump install:
coil, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, filter, regulator, pump relay, hi flow cat.
The new regulator was installed and tuned with a fuel pressure gauge at recommended settings.
WTH?

Re: Fuel Delivery Quandry
Vents fine, I can start it ip this am, put the pressure gauge on it, and it will read fine. Something is making the pump die when it is driven.
