My car just screwed me big time. My truck has been acting up and im thinking it was the ignition coils, i ordered them and they will be here this week. Ive been using my camaro as my daily for past two or three weeks. Today it stalled out while i was in reverse, i restarted it and backed into the spot idled for a couple minutes and it stalled again. My starter was heat soaked im thinking because it was making the loud whining noise at first, i pulled out and the car barely started refusing to move backfiring and smoking alot, it actually smells like something burnt. I left it for 20 minutes and drove around, gave the fuel pump relay a tap because i had these similar symptoms when my fuel pump went earlier before the car was on the road. It started right up and drove home fine but im still really really nervous about this, I guess i should be happy it drove for 2500 miles in the two months prior. Now today its refusing to start just cranking and cranking, im getting fuel and spark, i pulled a plug and grounded it and I can see the spark. I have a feeling that its related to my ignition coil arcing, i swapped the ignition coil with one I had laying around and the same symptoms. There is a chance both coils are bad though, im thinking its related to the ignition, perhaps control module which was also replaced a few months ago.
