Modded l98 timing help

Ok story is i put a new l98 long block in the car with vortec heads..A very mild cam , 24lb injectors and a holley stealth ram intake and 52mm throttle body..Any suggestions on base timing .Seems to have a stumble at like 2k rpm..I wanna make sure my timing is dialed in before i chase anything else..Idle searches just a bit then levels out..As far as the chip is concerened i have an ED Wright custom chip burned for my setup.. Any help would be appreciated..
Thanks

Re: Modded l98 timing help

If you're talking about setting base timing, set it to 6 degrees. 6 degrees is what matches your computer. Make sure you disconnect the EST wire on the passenger side (brown/black wire) before doing the timing adjustment. The timing curve is programmed into the computer itself.
