When im driving and i shift securely into second, sometimes the shift will pop out of second gear into neutral so all i successfully do is rev the engine, how do i fix this? just a shift adjustment or what. Normally it wont happen if i shift quickly and very securely, but i cant shift smoothly or it will pop out. Anyone know whats going on?

Yes, repost this on the transboard to get more responses, also letting us know what type of trans this is occuring in would help, aside from that I'll assume its a t-5, things to check would be the shifter itself for any wear but if this is only occuring in a single gear I'd suspect a bent shift fork, worn pads, but until you start taking it apart it's just logical guesses. Also another thing that comes to mind is one of the old hurst shifters that had the adjustable stops being misadjusted thus preventing proper engagement
