Unknown cylinder head hole
Unknown cylinder head hole
Can someone please tell me what this hole is for in the cylinder head. It is hard to see in the photos but there is one on each head between the first and second exhaust ports.

Driver's side, temp gauge sending unit; pass side, fan switch.
Whatever ones you don't use, put a pipe plug in. Early heads used 1/2" NPT, later ones had 3/8" NPT. Use brass, NOT cast iron or galvanized. You can get em at any hardware store.
