2.8 s10 5speed fit in a 3.1 camaro?
I found a 92 camaro forsale very cheap and looks like a good car but 3rd and 4th gear are out. I have a trans out of a 2.8 s10 5 speed.
I was wondering if anyone knows if it will bolt up?

No.
No torque arm mount, shifter in the wrong place (about 6" too far forward) and not rotated, trans mount not rotated.

If he swapped tail housings it would fix all that though or am I way of base?

Not sure, since it's all 6-cyl stuff, and I know NOT ONE THING WHATSOEVER about the details of that, never having seen any of it (I avert my eyes)... I don't know if the mainshaft is the same length or not. He'd have to swap the cover too FOR SURE though since the shifter rod would be different.
THen of course, if his car is a V8, he'd have the whole 6-cyl/V8 thing going on, too.
