HWM 1992 Camrao

Hello Everyone, I have a 92 camrao rs v-8, it runs great for 20 min. or so then once it gets hot it starts to bog down like its getting to much gas.
If you feather the gas peddle you can keep it running. Most of the time if
you shut it off & restart it, it runs great for another 20 min. or so. Iv'e changed most of the electrical parts. map sensor, throttle body sensor etc.. has anyone run into this problem?
Thank-you
Harvey

You need to do a fuel pressure test, the spec is 9-13 psi. They have a Actron tbi tester at auto zone(can rent them I think), CP7817, its a gauge & adaptor that hooks to the fuel line at the tbi unit.
You might have an ignition control module going bad too, these are heat senstive.

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.

Ditto the fuel pressure check recommendation. I've had a GM car (non-3rd gen) that acted the same way when the fuel pump got weak.

Re: HWM 1992 Camrao

Hi ex-x-fire & five7kid, Thanks for your infor. I was going in that direction, but why would it run great for 20 min or so then act up? Once I connect the fuel pressure tester how will I know until it acts up that I'm getting an accurate reading? Usually it won't act up while it's idleing no matter how long I let it run.
FYI - I changed the iginition control module also.
Thanks for your help. HWM57
