hi im picking you up a Chevy Camaro 5.0 v8 1990 on saturday.
and i can't seem to find any info on there top speed, as the guy told me it got 90mph on the clock, but it goes right passed that he says.

 

so guys any info?

Although the top speed is set to about 110-115 Mph, it's easy to disconnect the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) from the ECM. The top speed will then rise signifficantly. It should then be capable of doin' 160+ MPH. lol this can't be true

 

I hope you don't live near any other living beings. Somebody who is obsessed with top speed is a darwin award waiting to happen.

 

are you on drugs. i was only asking what it was from stock. the 160mph comment was not from me it was from the the link above. i don't care about going fast i just wanted to know what it was. it seems when you say any thing about speed people like 58mark get all pissy.

My Firebird's speedo tops at 140, that give you an idea? If both of my 5000+ pound plus Broncos can wrap the needle to 110 the Camaro is plenty fast. You'll crash the car before your seventeenth B-Day. Not dissing, just a simple fact.

speeding is one thing (and stupid enough) but top speed kills. you don't survive those accidents. If graphtea had been testing top speed, the only thread about him would be an RIP thread

 

well I'm 30, and i have a evo 4 345bhp, and i do lot's of track days here in the uk. at the billing aqua dome. So I'm sure the yank tank will be just fine in my hands lol.

IIRC the speed limiter was based on what tires you got, IROC, ect. with the 245 tires was unlimited, the lower models were limited to 110. So there's your answer.

There are plenty of roads to drive fast in Europe, some legally.
