worth it to replace heads on 150,000 miler
Got a 1986 lg4 iroc with an engine that runs great but has started to smoke.Assuming its the valve seals is it worth it at $100 a pop to throw some reman. heads on it?This engine has been great and HP doesn't matter to me just reliability.Seems strong for a 305 and I will do a compression check before I decide but just wondering what you'll think?

I think you should spend about $15 and replace the valve stem seals.
Okay, $30 if you replace the valve cover gaskets while you're at it.

I can't physically do it myself so what do you think this would run at a shop compared to just changing the heads?Was thinking of going that route so guess I will call around for prices.thanks
