Anybody ever try them? I was sort of tempted, but ended up just ordering the Comp pro-mags instead.
But, they look identical to the Comp high-tech rockers, sans name, although I suspect theyre just really good copies of the true thing. But, my experience is that there are only a handful of companies that make valvetrain parts. Ive bought pushrods from Isky that are the same as the comp-cam magnums, just with a different name silk-screened on. My Isky lifters are made by Morel, and available at widely differing prices under a dozen other names.
With that in mind, it does beg the question of whether theyre really the same part just being sold direct.

Will 1.6's fit under stock height valve covers? Any clearance issues with the rods? I have to change my covers soon anyway.. $104? Seems like a pretty cheap way to reduce some friction and pick up a few horses on my mostly stock 305.
They really do look like my Pro Magnums... I dont think they make that exact model anymore, though.
I'd be a little worried about cheaping out on something like rocker arms, and they are different enough that they're not the same. Must be Chinese reverse-engineered copies. Those chinese are VERY good at that. Not so good at making them functional.

Def. aware that the chinese copy EVERYTHING. I bought one of those ebay intake manifolds. To make it, they literally made a cast of an edelbrock RPM intake, and used that to make the molds. It was total crap.
These look like copies of the High-Tech ones. Did they phase that style out? They look good, but the metalurgy is a total unknown, especially the bearings and races that they use. The trunnion is under a lot of load.
Might be a good upgrade for a stock motor, though.

They replaced the "Pro Magnums" with "Ultra Pro Magnums". The high tech ones were the same as the pro magnums but they had a special pushrod cup that was hardened or something. Not sure if they still make those or not.

At first you could tell they were crappy copies, the logos would be wrong, the inlays on the fretboards wouldnt be centered, it was shaped like a 3 year old made it, etc. But about a year later you had to be VERY savvy to be able to tell a REAL Gibson Les Paul from a chinese copy. They got VERY good at it. You coudl still tell, but you had to be REALLY aware of what you were looking at and look for things that were wrong or didnt make sense. The later ones actually looked pretty nice. These rockers actually look pretty nice too...

Yeah, the chinese are starting to get good at it. Especially the high end pricey stuff like Breitling watches that cost more than a house.

Interesting about the hardened pushrod seat. Thats actually a really good feature for longevity. Actually, it looks like these have a pressed-in seat as well. Come to think of it, with stainless, its required as some types are not hardenable.
