What to do

Just picked up a 92 camaro rs with a 305 tbi that is locked up. Thinking of putting a Vortec 350 in. Question is what size cam to go with and carb or stay with tbi and buy larger injectors and throttle body. What height intake will fit under stock hood. Once the car is running it is going to be an auto cross car.

For general info, you might search for 350HO Deluxe and/or 350HO. As a side note, I was forced to use a 1/2" drop base to get the OE hood to close.

Re: What to do

So I think I going with a carb. whats would be the best cam for road racing. I would like to get the engine built for *** cheap as possible so I can start the upgrades for autox. Picknpull has complete vortec 350 for $ 190. Plan is to tear down and hopefuly get away with re-ringing it, they geting the heads machined for larger cam. I picked the carb up for $ 550.
