alt. wont charge battery after swap

Hey all. I recently just finished my 305 tbi to 350 carb swap in my 88 t/a and it turned out better then I could've hoped for but there's only one problem, after the swap I noticed that the alternator isn't charging and I can't figure out why. I got the alt tested today, its fine and works the way it should. Is there something to do with me elminating the ecm that the alt wont charge the battery anymore, do I have to rewire it. Any help is appreciated

Just wire it up they way it was stock? The pcm has nothing to do with the alt.

What about your fan switch relay? I know my alt 12v switched went through that, give that a check.

Re: alt. wont charge battery after swap

Checked all the connections today and while the cars running the battery was at 13.5 volts so im guessing my gauge is broken. How easy is it to hook up a aftermarket ammeter gauge and what points to you use.

Re: alt. wont charge battery after swap

Use a meter to test voltage when running

13.5v is a little low, but your alt is charging. 11.5-12v is battery power only
