IGNITION PROBLEM!
Hey guys I got a tech question.
I was tuning my 1988 IROC TPI 6.2 yesterday, and was making good progress. I went in for dinner, and when I came back out to work on it some more it would not start. It will crank but nothing else. I listened for the fuel pump to come on when you just turn the ignition on but don’t start it, and I do hear the pump come on. I then checked for spark by using my timing light and that’s when I noticed no spark. I pulled the coil wire of the distributor and cranked it no spark. I then changed the coil and still no spark.
Any ideas?

Re: IGNITION PROBLEM!
Just a thought!
I purchased a Ford remote solenoid for my IROC a couple of years ago, because the starter solenoid was over heating. I was told this would solve my problem which it did. I noticed this weekend when I used my remote starter trigger which I attached it to the Ford remote solenoid that it would not crank the engine, and it always did before. So I had to do it at through the ignition key. So my thought is could that solenoid have been going bad, and now is bad?

Re: IGNITION PROBLEM!
Am I looking at this wrong?
If my ignition module is bad, which is in my distributor(HEI) would that cause my coil to not produce spark?
