Intake questions

I'm swapping a vortec 350 into my 91... I wanna go with an edelbrock, what's the best to go with from stock to slightly modded? Performer, performer rpm, performer eps, performer eps air gap, performer air gap, or performer rpm air gap? There are so many, any opinions would be awesome, preferably from someone who has one in their set up, thanks

Re: Intake questions

The latest design is the Performer EPS. It's the "little brother" to the excellent Performer RPM and a good choice for a sub-6000 RPM engine and fitment under a stock 3rd gen hood is no problem. Only takes a squarebore carb, though (Holley/Edelbrock).

The direct competitor to that manifold is the Weiand Street Warrior. Pretty much the same as the Edelbrock Performer EPS. But it's available with a spreadbore (QJet) intake flange.

Re: Intake questions

Does that mean, it wouldn't accept the carb to tbi adapter? Will a performer rpm fit under stock hood?

Re: Intake questions

I don't see why it shouldn't. Performer RPM uses the same flange unless you buy the QJet version of it and is a really tight squeeze under a stock hood. And if you need a spreadbore (QJet) flange to make the adapter work go with the Weiand Street Warrior.
