Inermittent high idle ?? 305 TPI

I have a 1986 305 TPI in my street rod. It just developed a problem at idle. It stars fine idles .but when driving every other time you come to stop it will idle high. Any ideas. Thanks

a/c on or even the defroster since that will kick the a/c pump on and cause a high idle.

Or, check for vacuum leaks. Clean the throttle body, IAC valve. hows the timing?
