I took my smog pump off and followed all the instructions on the tech article for it. but now the belt is walking and one rib is sitting on the crank pulley. i used the same belt as they said on the write up. why would it do this. I need to fix this the car is my daily.

 

stretched belt? what pos. is the tensioner at?

 

how do u check that?

 

There are markings on it w/, 2 arrows at either end. If it's beyond that the belt is stretched too far

 

Can you take a picture of the whole set up & a close up one of the tensioner?

 

ill check that tomorrow its a lil too dark right now and i will tomorrow if that doesnt fix it. thank you for your help. keep bringing on the option if u got anymore please and thank you

 

so i ended up just sayin screw it and i gutted the pump n put it back on. seems fine now....knock on wood
