For anyone looking to swap the in tank fuel pump

This is not a write up but some pointers from my experience this past weekend. I did this over the weekend and to start let's say I really didn't want to do this. I had read horror stories about 8 hours of work and wrestling with the tank and taking everything off. It really wasn't THAT bad. It took me 6 hours with about an hour or so of slacking and taking a break. I tried to go with what I had thought would be the "easy" route and not disconnect the shocks or sway bar completely which turned out to be a huge waste of time. I got so aggravated because I didn't want to disconnect them I took a break for about an hour then came back and just did it. It's simple after you get it all down. I just tilted the tank forward and it slid out like a slice of cake. So just some pointers for anyone that has not but wants to do it.

1. I spent the extra money and bought a bosch pump because I don't want to have to do this in another year or two. I couldn't see wasting the time in buying the 35$ one from advanced.
2. Screen, filter and pump at once. Change them all. My screen was so old and cracked and looked like crap.
3. I took the exhaust completely off from cat back as I was told it would make things easier and YES it did. Completely able to work the tank .
4. I did this with jack stands, a jack, and some basic hand tools. Nothing special needed.
I just wanted to put this out there so if you were worried about doing it by yourself, don't be. It's not a difficult task at all. Rock on thirdgeners
