Fuel System Help...

So I am wondering if this is possible, I want to drain all the old gas out of my firebird in a few days so I was wondering I read a few months ago that you can take off the fuel lines from the motor and run them into a jerry can and manually control the pump via the OB II connector under the dash, So what exactly I mean is the you can run a lead into the fuel pump connection to power so that the fuel pump will turn on then im going to run all the crap gas into the jerry can then replace the fuel filter and run good gas through the car unless I can run the car on the bad gas somehow I am guessing it turned to varnish by now since it has been sitting there for 3 years...

Re: Fuel System Help...

You can jumper 12v from the battery to the fuel pump relay easier and accomplish the same result

Find the relay near the booster with the small red wire sticking out that's not connected to anything. Thats the prime or test lead. Add 12v there and the pump will come on if its in working order and the wiring is intact

you must be talking about g in the aldl ?

Re: Fuel System Help...

Using a paperclip, jumper the orange power supply wire to the grey fuel pump feed wire, the relay is the center relay in the group if this douse not have the test lead.
