Running rich , is my engine running too cold ?
my car is all stock except for my fan switch and thermostat . whenever i go WOT or under heavy acceleration my car gets this raw fuel smell .
BTW im running a 180* thermostat and the fan switch is on @ 200* and off at 185* and this is my average temp . unless i drive her hard she will slowly climb up to 220 *

I really easy way to find out is to unhook your fan, let the engine get up to 200*F and see if the fuel smell goes away.
I'm going to bet that it doesn't, but you have to try it and see.

I have the same problem, my car just doesnt really want to heat up all the way. Im running a carb'd 350 and I can't get it any higher then where your needle was at in the pick, same fuel smell to.

If you want it to run warmer you can put in a hotter thermostat, and/or block off part of your radiator.
