fuel and air delivery

So in my 88 IROC I have nothing to start with. No wires, no ecm. But regardless. I'm debating between going carbed and using Holley Stealth Ram. My engine is a 97 vortec L31. So anyways what's your opinion? Is it disappointing to see a maro with a carb? Which looks cleaner? Which feels meaner? What's your take?
