headers with no air tubes
FIRST OF ALL I HAVE A 1989 TA GTA WITH A 350 AUTO.THE ENGIN WAS REBILT BY OLD OWNER 30000 MILES AGO .IT HAS SOME UPGARADES AND A BIGGER CAM AND A HYPERTEC CHIP.I WANT TO ADD HEDDERS WITH NO AIR TUBES AND GET RID OF ALL THE BIG BLACK HOSES THAT CONECT TO THE AIR TUBES.THE CAR ALREADY HAS NO CAT .AND I HAVE NO ISSUES WITH A ENGIN LIGHT.WILL THIS CAUSE ONE OUR CAUSE A ISSUE WITH THE CPU OR MAKE THE CAR RUN BAD.I WANT TO MAKE THE AREA ON TOP OF THE VALVE COVERS LOOK MORE FINISHED AND GET RID OF THE HOSES.AND I DO NOT LIKE THE LOOKS OF THE HEADDERS WITH AIR TUBES.I LIVE IN IL AND THE CAR IS EXEPT FROM ADMISSIONS TEST.

Re: headers with no air tubes
This is what I went with after searching for over a year. I will cut the air tubes off and weld the holes then have them ceramic coated. Everyone recommends these because they have a great y-pipe which you will need no matter what set you buy. There is no way around this.

If you want to avoid any fabrication work then use this set below and purchase the separate y-pipe. Notice however that the 2055s are full 3" and the 2460's are 2.5" at the outlet of the Y.

It will be well worth the extra money to have a ceramic coating if you don't want them to rust up within the first couple of months. If you choose the painted ones then be prepared for this no matter how many coats of hi-heat spray paint you apply.
Happy hunting
