1991 Firebird 305
Need help locating a part... Does anyone know what the name of this is and where I can find one?
It is on the passenger side, on top of the motor, near the A/C compressor. There are three hoses connected to it. The hoses are about the size of a heater hose.
It has a flat round piece on the top, about the size of a top off a jar of jelly. Then there is a short tube (about 3 or 4 inches) attached to the underside of it. This forms a sort of T shape. Then the three hoses attach to the sides of the short tube.
Attached are the 2 pics of the part...
Thanks...

Its for your heater. I think the name is diverter valve. I think you can get em at any parts store.
Edit: As stated below Heater Contol Valve is the correct name (im old and had a brain fart).
One tip is dont over tighten the clamps or tighten them while coolant is hot.

Like mentioned that is/was your heater control valve, might want to replace your heater hoses if they're old while you're at it, also use new clamps. It should Have a vaccum line attached to the vaccum port, the vac line goes through the firewall to your HVAC control head and is what supplies vaccum when nessicary to open or close the valve so don't just hook up any vaccum line
