l98 engine replacement question

K guys it seems i lost a cylinder on my 88 5.7 and while a valve job may fix it, the engine has 160k on it! so here is my question and goals!

1. not looking to break the bank!
2. what to keep the tpi
3. would love to see around 30mph freeway!
4. direct bolt in to current car and trans without modifications!

I have learned that i can move to vortec heads and keep my tpi so which long block should i get for it?

Thanks ahead of time for all of your answers!

Re: l98 engine replacement question

oops on typo of 30mph i meant 30 mpg! lol! any how my current 5.7 never got anywhere close to 30 mpg so from my research moving up one level to a vortec head mid 90's 5.7 should give me the highway mileage with rear end change!
