Hi there,im a new member,have a 86 rock that when i bought it po said needs new maf cause it stalls out and dies when driving but idles fine,bought used one no difference,i accidently flipped the chip around and have also started the car with the adls jumped,so im thinking the chip is toast,or ecm,i hope its not the ecm cause its the newer upgraded faster one,but any way when the chip was flipped upside down it did run but it had a really slow rev, lots of popping and messing with the distrib yeilded a lilttle to no results but still not right,so i put it back in the right way.now the check engine light is solid and will not flash once nor will it flash with ab jumped. it starts now and idles if you work with the throttle,but as soon as rev it up and back off it dies,what do you guys think? ive read alot on the ecu and prom issues with the whole aldl solid light but just wanted some info,any is great thanks!
