Need Advice
i might be able to get a hold of a 1990 pontiac firebird v6 for cheap. just wondering he said the car starts and runs fine but when he gets on freeway its bogish. he said his master mechanic took a look at the car and said its the timing is off..... im just wondering if its worth picking up?? i can get the car maybe for 350$ with title but just wanna know if its gonna be a lot of work to get the timing right? please let me know ASAP as im looking at it tommorow

Re: Need Advice
350 is less then scrap price, id take it just because of that lol it could be a lot of things that would cause this problem, i doubt its just the timing as that is really easy to fix, if all the fluids are good (no water in the oil or vice versa) clean tranny fluid and what not it would prolly be worth fixing it, what jumps into my mind is maybe the cat/mufler is coming apart or the tranny is slipping in OD
