Is LU5 a 'collision' engine

Hello,
Currently rebuilding/restoring 1983 DT500 with the TBI (LU5 305 Engine) and am curious if the timing chain gives out, will the pistons touch the valves? Typically on a smog motor, I'd doubt it, but its basicaly a baby 350, so might be tight in the head.

Thanks All.

Its always a possiabitly on a sbc (23* valve angle), lift, valve reliefs, & luck play a role too.
I'd change it, it might have a nylon timing gear.

No, won't hit.

But as said, good idea to get rid of the OE POS regardless.
