Looks like an egr solenoid. Where do the vacuum hoses go? Look at the vacuum diagram on the emissions sticker.

 

The lines arent hooked up was in a box of stuff
That didnt end up gettn put back on after the engine swap, just going
Over everything trying to clean up the bay and noticed a plug in the rear near
The distributor and realized it goes to this thing. (sorry for how large the pics are)

Thats odd as i drove it like this all last summer and
Never had any codes

 

Did turn off the egr on my custom chip though i believe

 

That is the EGR solenoid, and if it was deleted on a chip, you wont have any codes.
